Some 4,500 new employees are needed by an airline in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a report of the news site Emirates 24/7 said.
In the report, Alison Ward, vice president for recruitment of Emirates Airlines said the new employees needed include:
- 3,800 cabin crew,
- 450 pilots, and
- 250 employees "in other roles."
Ward said those "in other roles" include employees for "the new Terminal 3, engineering and corporate roles."
The report said the airline “plans to operate many more destinations in the months and years ahead.”
Currently, the Emirates Airlines has 233 aircrafts claiming to have the “youngest fleet in the world.”
“Essential to our continued business success as we expand will be the ongoing employment of high quality people to join our multi-cultural team of over 160 nationalities,” the report said quoting Emirates’ career portal.

The Emirates 24|7 report noted that aside from monthly salaries, employees of the airline received a variety of benefits.
“Basic salary figures do not give the whole picture as there are other non-monetary benefits that accompany some roles, especially when comparing the Emirates Group versus other airlines and travel services organisations,” an Emirates spokesperson said.
It was revealed in the report that a Captain’s monthly salary amounts to Dh41,240 (basic salary plus hourly flying pay based on 85 block hours per month), while, a First Officer’s paycheck was estimated to Dh29,145 (basic salary plus hourly flying pay based on 85 block hours per month).
“In addition to lifestyle and tax free salary benefits, the Emirates Group also offers professional development opportunities to help employees develop new skills and grow their careers successfully,” the report added.
