Nine more cargo forwarders have been blacklisted by the Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Shippers’ Bureau following complaints on missing “balikbayan” boxes.
In a DTI-PSB advisory dated November 16, the agency warned Filipinos abroad against dealing with six additional foreign cargo consolidators, who join 32 others that were earlier blacklisted. The new foreign principals in the blacklist are:
- Jet Cargo Express (Italy),
- Jet Cargo Express (Italy),
- Natasha Express Cargo Services (Kuwait),
- Philippine Cargo International (Kuwait),
- Laguna Lakers Cargo Forwarder (Saudi Arabia),
- Makati Express (Saudi Arabia), and
Laguna Lakers and three more accredited freight forwarders have been added to the previous two companies that have been issued show cause orders by the DTI-PSB because of undelivered “balikbayan” boxes. The updated list now also includes:
- Kingspoint Express and Logistics,
- Laguna Lakers,
- Monark Customs Brokerage Corporation, and
- NRU Cargo Forwarder.
The DTI-PSB meanwhile has retained the 27 unaccredited freight-forwarding firms in its blacklist.
