The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be closed on June 12 and 17 to mark Philippine and UAE holidays.
In an announcement on its website, the Consulate General said June 12 is the 114th Independence Day as proclaimed by Proclamation No. 295.
June 17, on the other hand, is Al Isra Wal Miraj, a UAE Holiday.
"Regular office hours shall resume after the holidays," it said.
The news site Emirates 24/7 said ministries and federal government bodies will be closed on June 17 to mark Al Isra Wal Miraj.
The report said the day marks the acension of Prophet Mohammed and is declared an official holiday for workers in the ministries and federal bodies.
Emirates 24/7 also said school exams will not be affected by the June 17 holiday.
