Emirates Identity Authority alert those not register through SMS

As part of the advertisement, Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) has sent text messages to Dubai companies to alert their employees to register for National ID cards before the deadline.

Base on the report of the national news agency WAM, that their was more than 23,000 SMS messages in Arabic and English languages have been send off to the representatives of private sector in Dubai.

The acting director of project, public relations officer and marketing at EIDA, Ayesha Al Raisi said sending the SMS messages is part of the authority's media and advertisement campaign to remind residents to register for the identity card before the May 31 to avoid delay fines.

Al Raisi added that the text messages were addressed to the companies due to the fact that a big percentage of population of Dubai has not yet registered for the card, particularly the workers.

She also said that the EIDA addressed the messages to the companies in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour.
