Jaywalking fine because of Emirates ID card is not true, EIDA said

There are rumors circulating now that there some jaywalkers being fined because of the Emirates ID. That’s why many are wants to know if it’s true and used the social networking site to find out the truth.

In the Twitter account name Medy tweets: “Is it true that jaywalking is detected through emirates identification card? How could I know if I have any violations?”

Another tweet says: “Stop carrying your Emirates ID with you, you are being tracked since a tracking chip has been installed in the card.”

Emirates 24/7 ask the Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) regarding this issue and they said this is not true.

These are just rumors,” an Eida spokesman told Emirates 24|7.

Emirates ID are mandatory for all residents in the U.A.E.

And around 2.44 million people were already registered during 2011.
